How it works
Based on your briefing, our specialized development team creates an initial, tailor-made formulation. We apply our know-how, scientific expertise, and creativity throughout the process, maintaining close communication with you regarding active ingredients, formulation, texture, regulatory requirements, and more.
Product development – creating the perfect product together
A key milestone on the path to a successful product is the initial sample from our development lab – this is where you get to experience your product for the first time. In the next stages, we work closely with you to refine and perfect the formulation. Once you have given final approval, we conduct all necessary tests, including stability, compatibility, microbiological stress tests, and dermatological tolerance tests. Upon request, we can also arrange additional tests such as efficacy testing through our trusted network of specialist laboratories in Switzerland and abroad.
Documentation & regulatory: an area of growing importance
Even after all tests have been successfully completed, your product isn’t quite ready for market launch. To place a cosmetic product on the market, specific documentation and registration requirements must be met – such as compiling and maintaining the Product Information File (PIF) and completing CPNP registration. Our experienced regulatory team is happy to take care of this for you.
As you expand into new markets with your cosmetic products, we’re right there with you. The market release of cosmetic products involves complying with numerous country-specific regulations and preparing the appropriate documentation and certifications. We’ll gladly support and advise you throughout the process.
Revision of existing formulations
Does your product no longer meet your requirements or comply with constantly changing legislation? Do you want to sell your product in new markets and need to adjust the ingredients? No problem! Our development team is happy to advise you on the steps required for successful implementation (laboratory tests, mandatory and recommended tests, adaptation of regulatory documents, etc.).

Blemish stick development
A few personal meetings about desired parameters made it clear that the existing formulation would have to be redesigned from the ground up.
In addition, we identified a critical raw ingredient which could become the target of regulatory restrictions in a few years. Since our development department keeps its finger on the pulse, is tapped into a huge network of information sources, and stays in constant communication with raw ingredient suppliers, this ingredient could be proactively replaced. We were able to present the customer with an initial product sample for testing after just one month. Naturally, the customer feedback that we had set an extremely high bar for time, service, and quality delighted and motivated us.
Update of the ‘ready-to-sell’ sun protection range
We recently reworked our entire ‘ready-to-sell’ sun protection range at great expense in order to incorporate the latest scientific findings about sunscreen filters, effectiveness, product safety, and sustainability.
In a nutshell:
no sunscreen filters that could be hormonally active (endocrine disruptors), microplastic-free, nano-free, natural waxes/oils, silicon-free, PEG-free, no parabens, combination of chemical & mineral (natural) filters for optimal sun protection.
Regulatory adaptation
After learning of a change to the permitted maximum concentration of an ingredient, we proactively contacted all affected customers and offered suggestions for solutions. We were able to define the best course of action together quickly and efficiently.
Adaptation to customer wishes
We presented a hand cream formulation from our ‘ready-to-sell’ product range to a customer. The customer loved the product and definitely wanted to include it in their product range. However, the meadowfoam seed oil in the formulation lacked the ‘Swissness’ the customer wanted, so we suggested adding alpine rose extract cultivated by local organic farmers in Switzerland to the formulation. This allows the customer to advertise and market the product effectively.
